My dA Death?

All my work shows up as empty boxes. My Favorites are empty. And when I click on something it says there is nothing to be found. I don't know what's going on...I'm going to restart my computer, and if nothing has changed I guess I'll try logging in. Hopefully it doesn't tell me I deleted my account!

  1. The site was down for maintenance; there was a message at the top of the screen most of last night saying that the site was in "read-only" mode - I panicked a little when I saw that all of my submissions and favorites seemed to have been deleted, too! Being on the site for six years, losing DA would be like losing a diary or photo album full of irreplaceable pictures :(

There's a site called "IsItDownRightNow" and if you type that and deviantART (or Fanfiction.Net or YouTube or anything else) into Google, it'll tell you whether the site is having problems or if it's doing maintenance - deviantART itself posts comments on that site to apologize for the site's unavailability and to explain whether it was scheduled maintenance or a site crash, stuff like that - it's pretty cool!

    1. Yes, it would be like that. As it is we have a whole bunch of family photos that are just gone. Some were thrown away, I know that; but I mean the ones that weren't seem to have disappeared along with them.

      That site sounds amazing...Thanks!

  2. Who would throw away family photos? If you see anyone trying that, save them and send them to me, would you? I hate the idea of any family memories being thrown out...they can't be recreated!

    1. Same here...I think the only ones that were thrown away were the ones with a thumb on the screen, or poor lighting, etc. There was this one where I'm sitting on a chair in a bathing suit - we'd just finished playing with Sean in the sprinkler. The camera was pointed indecently and I hope that picture was shredded.

Sure, I can try. I actually have some duplicates, if you're interested. They're not beautiful, but we're all there, in some of them. Even Kathleen, when she was...eleven? They go back.

    2. I think some pictures important to me were deleted, though. Like the one of me sleeping on the coffee table, or in the laundry basket. If we do still have them, I haven't seen them in years.
