My Sim has been painting for most of his life, and today he painted one worth $801! I'm thrilled! I know other people have had their Sims sell paintings worth twenty grand, but this is Life Stories! Whoo!
lol, I always make a Sim lady, have her do a bunch of cool stuff (gardening, cooking, fishing) and sometimes make a friend, but that's it...I've tried having families, but they cause the weirdest glitches :(
Oh, you must be talking about Sims 3. I love that game, and I miss it, but I have a graphic card to worry about. If it screams during Sims Life Stories, I know I should avoid playing TS3.
Yeah, they really did a good job with the gardening part of Sims 3. The graphics are weird, though; the Sims look so great in CAS and then you get them out into the world, and they look so different.
I thought they looked too shiny in CAS...but more annoying than that is when you get them out into the world and after a while they're wearing different clothes and shoes than you put on! :(
That never happened to me...Sounds very strange. I spend (or used to spend) a lot of time designing clothes, so if that happened to me it would be more annoying than a normal person would find it to be.
Same here; I enjoy having my Sims look a specific way (I can't stand it when everything isn't done perfectly, or perfectly my way; that's an OCD thing with me) and I hate it when the game decides to randomize things. I know I can change it back, but really, I shouldn't have to! :p
No, absolutely not. The Save button is there for a reason. I also want everything my way (lighters must be all together in the same cup, towel straight, pile of DVDs in order and even, all the lights off when the room is empty).
Same! I also can't stand having the TV making noise if no one's listening, having the curtains open when it's dark outside and the lights are on, and G. putting a razor in my bath bottle; I know he does it because he thinks it's safer, but I hate having to fish the thing out every time I want to wash my hair! :p
It's a plastic bottle (one of those you wash and reuse a million times, not one of those cheap throwaways) I use when I wash my hair; it's more effective than just dunking my head into the bath, and I'm less likely to get water in my ears like I do when I shampoo during a shower :p
Oh. Okay...I still do my hair in the kitchen sink, most of the time. Sometimes in the shower, but not often, because water in the ears makes me dizzy, and I don't like taking the chances of slipping on the puddles or having the water turn completely hot because someone else runs water. I think all showers should have their own hot water tank. Why wasn't that the way it was done in the first place?
It's probably less-efficient for water flow or heating costs, or environmental reasons (a nearly-endless hot water supply would mean people might take hour-long showers), but it sure would be nice, wouldn't it?
Living in an apartment, the hot water tank must be huge, or there must be several; we're never out of hot water (even if the pressure isn't always so great) and other people can use water at the same time without affecting the temperature :)
Congratulations! :D
ReplyDeleteYou have a male Sim? I still just do girl-Sims :p
Oh, I have thousands of male Sims! I do, after all, want a big family tree; and holy hell, do I ever...

DeleteThat sucks! Life Stories is pretty good, but as gardening is my favourite part, Sims 3 is my favourite...

DeleteA.), I agree with everything you just mentioned, and B.), what's a bath bottle?

That sounds nice...but I bet apartment suites cost more than this place; and living here is a struggle as it is.
DeleteHere, too...but things are tough all over...
DeleteSome things more than others, I'm sure.
