PMO

So many times I've been online, people have asked me the one question that makes me want to sink my fingernails into my eye sockets, grab a handful of jelly, and pull.
"Are you single? Are you single? Are you single?"
Yes. I am. What about it? Are you making plans in your pint-sized head? Do you think I want somebody so desperate that they ask me online without even meeting me first? People like this 455h013 really p155 me off. "Will you be my gf?" Umm, no. A.), because you're desperate enough to ask me online; B.), I don't like people, C.), you use Internet slang, and D.), I don't think I like men.
This game is...a game. It's not a dating site. It's called Friendbase, not Get2SecondBase. What kind of person do you think I am? I'm not a whore, and I'm not giving it away to just anyone who asks me. I don't even know if I'd give it away to The One. Not like I believe in The One, anyway. What a load of sh1t.
From now on when people call me baby, or hottie, or sexy, I'm going to say "Hello and don't call me that." When they ask me if I'm single I'm going to lie and say no. Where do they get the fukking nerve? Like I'm really going to swoon at some pathetic attempt to meet me in a dark alleyway at night.

  2. "Squeeze the jelly from your eyes! ... Actually, it's quite good on toast."

I used to set my relationship status to Single on the sites that gave me the option; if I recall correctly, WAY fewer people bothered me. Maybe none ... I'm sorry to hear you're having so much trouble with people though, they used to do that to me, too ...

    1. It seems every person I talk to wants to know all my information, including which house on which street. (Way to be subtle.)
I was thinking of Shrek when I wrote that... :)
I hope things have turned around for you.

    2. lol, maybe one day you'll meet someone who doesn't - did you know G. and I talked for over a year before either of us suggested sending the other our phone number, and that it was another six months or so before I gave him my address and he gave me his (we wanted to see each other's houses/apartments on Google Maps Street View). He was decent from the start and wouldn't ask me anything personal unless I said it was okay to ask a personal question - that was how I knew he was special; all the other guys wanted to know gross personal things and asked to meet up with me somewhere. Makes me wonder how they act in real life if they're so bold online! (Probably less bold, since hiding behind a username makes most people seem 'braver').

Yes, things sure have - when my status was set to a fake relationship, people hardly bugged me; now, NO one bothers me online - but I also don't make posts, submit art, write fanfiction, and I rarely reply even on DA, so I think it's more likely I've just blended into the background, and that's fine with me. I guess the difference is that you found a bunch of creeps all playing one game - which is either just bad luck, or there are an average amount of weirdasses on every game :|

    3. I've been playing these games for a long time, so it's hard to stop just because of a few bad eggs. I do my best to ignore, and if I have to, report (but apparently threatening to track down and kill a person is no biggie, so the report button is nearly useless).
Yes, Internet cajones. I get them, too. Cursed things.

    4. Anytime I like a Facebook game, they shut it down ... so I don't play them anymore ... yeah, in most games, the mods want players to ignore the jerks rather than lose players - you'd think they'd rather keep the decent players than the jerks, though :|

    5. You would think. Especially since kids play that game.

    6. That's a good point ... does it have an in-game chat system, or would a person have to message someone else? I think most of the games with in-game chat systems tend to be worse than anything; I don't think the game records conversations, so people (especially the weird ones) tend to be a bit braver, unfortunately.

Probably some of the jerks pay for the game, though, and that's why the mods don't want to lose them :|

    7. It has both an in-game chat and a private mes-sage system. But I'm brave, too; when people get nasty, I take screenshots of the conversation and post them to the app page for everyone to see. If they bother me, I tell them to go away, and if they bother someone else I give their victim advice - to go "Home", where they can't be followed.
It's a sad, sad life when money means more than goodwill...

    8. Taking a screenshot of someone's nastiness is a pretty smart move; has it deterred anyone yet?

    9. For awhile, at least. They probably just go to a different game location to continue harassing people without some stranger raining on their pathetic parade.

    10. lol, that's a definite possibility...
