Things here are not bad at all! I'm actually really happy today (and to think, I didn't get enough sleep!). My book is finally at a point where it should've been in 2014 (which isn't to say I hate every other sentence, because I've had a blast writing this series); and it's really fun and funny. And I finally know what I want to buy: Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff! It's got cute princess hairstyles for chil-dren. Finally, I will be able to make a realistic royal family.
My computer probably requires a complete reinstall, so if ever I do find the game, it couldn't come at a better time. I really hope deleting everything will be worth it! And if I saved my Life Stor-ies game progress to a disk correctly, then I'll finally be in the Sim-nerd sweet spot of trying to choose between two games.
I do hope it works. I've been working at this family for years.....
Even if it doesn't, I suppose a fresh start is a good thing, too. I've read an article online (just now, actually) where this person walked into a store and found Sims 2 and all of its expansions for two dollars. Not sure where that store is, unfortunately; most likely nowhere near me.
My Facebook game is going great, too! I decided instead of buying a lockbox key every time I have collected just enough coins, I would simply save and save and save, until their big sale in June! I can't wait.
God, I'm such a nerd. Hopefully you haven't died of boredom reading this. I'd write about something else, but...you know.

I'm glad things are going so well for you; it seems to happen so infrequently (no offense intended) that a good day is a great thing :D
ReplyDeleteMy Sims game is going great, too; I've had my current game going for over two years, and I'm still making progress on it! :D
I thought your game was incompatible.
DeleteI had another fantastic day today! I'm sorry to see it coming to a close. At the same time, so happy bedtime is coming right up...
No, The Sims 3 works well, but it depends a lot on which expansion packs I install - World Adventures is fun, but it causes the most horrible glitching, so I stick to Seasons, Supernatural, Showtime, and Ambitions; they don't cause problems :)
Deletelol, I hope you sleep well ...
Yeah, I slept great. :)
DeleteFor me, Sims 3 Pets is the worst; which is fine, because my Sims only had pets to find extra gems; which they can do on their own with that butterfly-shaped thing.
Ambitions, huh? Have you had any firefighters yet?
Yay! :)
DeleteIf I install that one, it'll be because I can grow carrots - I'm hugely into gardening (and cooking and fishing and alchemy; basically anything that can be done as a result of gardening or with food; my child Sim does all kinds of cakes and cookies and pies and stuff!) - so, no, I haven't had a firefighter yet; I've got one ex-military guy and one young lady working her way up to be a ghost hunter (my personal favourite career, because the music is awesome and you have to interact and make the Sim do everything on the job instead of sending them off to a building and just waiting for them to finish) ...
Gardening is my favorite part, too. I once had over 1,000 apples in the fridge and +500 in her Inventory! :D
DeleteSending them off to a building isn't so bad. I prefer to have other Sims so I'm not bored to death, but when it's one Sim it gives me time to doodle, write or read at my desk.
Man, I didn't realize until just now how much I missed my Sims 3 progress. I had this Werewolf ghost named Marlene Bartlett, I'm pretty sure, and I would bring her back from the dead every now and then to alchemize. There were faceted stones on shelves all over the house; there was a luminorious (or maybe rainbow) gem worth around 8,000 Simoleons.
No sleep this time around. Payday shopping's going to be hell. Hope your night was good (and that your morning didn't come too quickly - or too slowly, either).
Be careful when storing any food in your inventory; it can go bad! :o
DeleteYeah, having them take care of themselves at work does give you more time to do other things, but when I want to play the game, I don't want to have free time at the same time; I like the ghost hunting career for that because you can interact with the ghosts and the haunted objects (and the music's good) - I think I'm repeating myself, lol
I used to have a houseful of gems, too! Now that I think about it, I can't remember where those went, or which Sim I had them on - I had two towns going, and deleted one (I'd thought it was slowing the game down; deleting it didn't help) so now that I remember that, it's possible I deleted an awful lot of gems ... ouch!
I don't think the apples went bad in the Inven-tory, but I could have just not waited long enough. I would always collect an even number, put half in the fridge, and sell the other half the same day I finished picking. And, sometimes, I would decide to sell everything; since my Sims never ate anyway. Made for a huge profit.
DeleteYes, it is rather boring to sit around and wait for them to finish. That's partly why my Sims' fam-ilies were always as big as the lot allowed. One Sim would always stay home with the young ones, and when they were old enough, only one Sim would stay home and keep me entertained.
That does suck! I purchased a lot with the Sim-points I'd received for free. Appaloosa Plains. After a few glorious months, I had to delete the game, and I wondered for awhile if I had also deleted my access to the neighborhood. But now I don't worry about it, because I realized I made a purchase with my account, and there would be no reason for them to "take it back".
I do miss my Sims. Each had their own talents. Through all the generations I've had, I've never had a chef. I did have aliens. And then my male was abducted and impregnated with an alien boy, so then I had even more aliens.
Sorry this reply is late; I keep telling this site to notify me of responses and it never has.
I put everything in the fridge, and when the numbers get to about 500, I sell most of everything ... or at least I did when I just had the one Sim; now I have four to feed, so the food's going faster :D
DeleteI only have one Sim leaving the lot for any real reason, and that's for my kid to go to school (she's never gotten a lower grade than an "A" and she's been on the honour roll the whole time!) - maybe I'll eventually have another career-Sim, but right now the family has too much money and I keep buying things to let them lower in value on my lot before I sell them to get rid of it! :p
Mpreg with aliens - that's the Sims all right, haha, it even happens in the Sims 4 (I've seen videos) :D
No worries :)
My Sims always left the lot, sometimes because they had to cure their Stir Crazy moodlet; but mostly because of work, or I got addicted to sending them off to the gym and zooming in on the radio, etc.
DeleteThat's one way to go. Too bad Sims can't donate money; that would be a fine addition. My Sims would transmute things, and when they failed and turned themselves into gold, I kept their statues and raised the lot value to $50,000 each time. I don't doubt for a second I had the most costly lot in the neighborhood, and the house itself was plain. Close to the beach, and nice, but in no way a mansion. I think without the statues it cost 12 to 15 thousand...
...I thought I was the only one that zoomed in on the radio...some of the music is fantastic :D
DeleteYeah, stir-crazy Sims - I make mine go take a shower at the gym sometimes, just so they get off the lot and I don't have to wash the laundry, haha :D
Friendly Sims can donate to charities, but only $100 at a time, and I think there's a wait limit between donating again, so it's just easier to buy expensive useless things, let them decrease on value, and sell them :p
Wow, that seems cheap, haha, my house costs about #200,000 - I overestimated how much space I needed for gardening, so I also have a pond, my own gym, my own library, and other stuff - I actually have rooms that are just decoration and there's not much point to them! :p
My Sims always had those things, and their gardens would be itty-bitty. (I like big houses, lol.)
DeleteSims can wash laundry?!
My garden's about 22x22, with room for 60 plants; it takes a Sim all day to tend it :p
DeleteYep, if you buy them a washer and dryer or clothesline, but if you have those on your lot, Sims will leave piles of dirty clothes on the floor when they change outfits or shower unless you have a laundry hamper in the room :p
Cool. Too bad they don't use the toilet paper even if it's there, or have to change light bulbs...
