Wake Me When Pain Has A Cure

No amount of medicine seems to be enough anymore. I think this is how a broken back must feel. Sitting is hell, standing is hell. I just want to crawl into bed and stay there until I can move without screaming. Here I am looking forward to my next period, because only when I'm menstruating am I not in pain.
I had a thought today: Sims Pet Stories hasn't been installed for years, it might work. But I quickly threw that thought away. I would have to keep it open forever just to play the damned thing more than once, and I learned something recently; I like shutting my computer off at night. Just the night before last, I learned what silence is.
Anyway, going now to have a soft, mushy pizza made from canned ham and blenderized pineapple. Later.

  1. Sorry if this is gross, but constipation can cause back pain, or so I've heard - but if that's not the problem, you should probably see a doctor...back pain sucks :(

Do you remember falling or almost falling from before the pain started? Could it be your bed? I can't stay in mine too long or my back gets sore and I usually end up with a headache... (Also, using a pillow hurts.) :p

    1. Constipation? I know. But I doubt that's the problem...
No, I haven't fallen out of bed since childhood. It might just be my pillow, but I have been sore for months. I Googled my symptoms, and I'm definitely not alone. (Yippee, everyone has problems. Sigh.)
Perhaps I should stop using a pillow for awhile...I had a killer headache last night, too.

    2. I used to sleep with a pillow, and these days, I only do that if I'm sick and having trouble breathing...most of the time it hurts far too much for me to do it :(

I hope you feel better very soon, and find the cause of your pain, especially if the cause isn't serious! :)

    3. Mom says it could be gas, constipation, kidney infection or viral...And honestly I hope it's viral; at least then I could take some medicine and heal.
Well, whatever it is, Mom has it too, now. Basically it's the worst back pain you've ever felt, nausea, and hot flashes. I actually had to come hide in here when she was cooking, and just sit in front of the fan with a bucket nearby.
      Hope you are well!

    4. Wow, that sucks! I hope you both feel better very soon!

      I'm well, but Geoff's not...if he doesn't schedule a doctor's appointment for himself tomorrow, I'll do it... :(

    5. I'm glad you're well, and sorry to hear about Geoff. Mom tells me he's been taking Pepto Bismol, which makes her feel horrible. It never helped me either; then we found out it has aluminum in it.
Mom's health has been improving; she's on anti-biotics. I'm still sore, but it gets better as the day progresses. The mornings are the worst.

    6. Yes, he takes it for heartburn - I never knew what it was I felt until I met him, then I knew I also got heartburn, and PB took care of it nicely...

I'm worried about you guys, I hope it's not serious...

    7. Mine is better for the second or third day in a row, though I did pull an arm muscle in my sleep, of which I didn't get enough. But, it's payday, so I can't go back to bed until later.

    8. I'm glad you're doing better; I hope you keep getting better!

Sorry to hear about the pulled muscle, though; that really sucks! At least it's payday...that's a good thing :P

    9. I thought so, too; but the three of us went for a walk instead. My feet and legs were too sore for me to enjoy it, and I just wanted to do the shopping and go home...But, instead, we picked apples that were too sour to eat. I have to wake up in six hours and a few minutes to do what we didn't get done on the 21st.
As always, I hope you're doing well and am glad to hear from you...

    10. I'm glad to hear from you, too...I'm not sure I'm well, so I'm thinking a visit to the doctor will be necessary... :(

    11. What's wrong? Can I do anything?

    12. Oh, I don't think so, and the things I think might be wrong are so numerous, it'd be a huge comment I leave here...hopefully nothing's wrong though and I am, as usual, just a hypochondriac...

    13. Mom often looks her symptoms up and drives herself crazy, associating herself with everything in the book. "I've got that! And that! And this. Am I dying?" Then she can power on for weeks without giving it much thought, and then it's back to that again. I don't understand it.
      Hope nothing's wrong.

    14. I've done that so many times, I've been afraid to look up my symptoms, though the few things I did dare to look up gave me answers I really didn't want. I think I'll leave it up to a doctor, ultimately...

    15. I have something weird going on with my right big toe. Because it's so visible, I did my research and apparently it's a common, age-related problem. The things I can't see or feel undeniably, I don't look up. If I go through life associating myself with others' problems, I won't find much joy in life. I have my problems, and I leave it at that - we all have some problems.
