Sooo...
My mother and I went out today. Looked at some fish, some birds, found an inauthentic tank decoration that felt real (the tank wasn't in a tank, so I don't know if it was a tank decoration or a tank tank decoration), she bought me a new book for an old collection, and now our house is for sale. Well, fine. I never liked this place. Too many damn problems; good riddance.
I'm just worried about what will happen when we move. We've lived together for financial reasons, and this house was the most affordable. Probably because it's a shithole, but we made it work.
I hope when we do move, we're not stuck in something like this. And I hope my bedroom window has a screen.
But, at least we've lived here six years and a few days. It's the longest I've lived in a house. I just realized that! So I guess the only reason I feel any remorse about moving is because we won't make it to a decade.
Oh well...What else is new?

Is it definite that you guys will be moving? :(
ReplyDeleteIf so, I'm sad about it; I really liked living there...maybe new owners will let you guys stay? I don't think the economy's great these days; it could be years before anyone buys the house, and even then they might be happy to have tenants already renting the basement...there are a LOT of houses here that have been for sale as long as I've lived here, and it just doesn't look like anyone has the money to buy a house right now...I kinda hope the same is true for where you are :p
No, it's not definite. I only got a half-story. The way I was told, I thought there was a For Sale sign in the yard; but what actually happened is, L. Googled our house and saw how much it was worth. We might have to move in the future, and we might not.
ReplyDeleteOhh, well, that's much different than how I understood it :p
DeleteNow the house is for sale. But, we still might not get to move.
Delete:(
Delete'Get' to move? I loved it there... :(
I never did. I liked Hudson, and Coote, and several houses we lived in during our childhood. Like the one with the den that had the glass doors, and the chandelier hanging over the stairs that led down to the front door where that big window was. We have only one picture of that house, but it's dim. Grandma S. is sitting in the blue rocking chair.
ReplyDeleteI do worry about what will happen to the three of us if we do have to move. L. is considering moving up to The Hoof, and Mom and I discussed getting individual neighboring apartments...
But nothing happened today. They were expecting the photographer to come, but he was a no-show. I ended up taking a nap without accidentally ending up on camera (thankfully).
