Ah...Back!

It feels so good to be writing again. Well, typing. I've been writing by hand for nearly two months. My journal is full. I spent most of my time reading the dictionary, over and over and over. I discovered the word onomatopoeia.
I did not suffer without the use of my computer as much as I thought. I saw my second shooting star, finally won some card games, and on October 12th I even went to Chilliwack. A place called Tamihi. Humorously, I kept calling it Tahiti and didn't know why everyone was so jealous.
I went there to attend my brother's birthday party. It was lame, but the location made up for that. Imagine sitting in front of a fire that never sparks (oak is great kindling), listening to the creek, and hearing leaves fall. I mean dead, crunchy leaves that sound like hail. I was literally wondering why I wasn't getting wet.
It was nice. And I was actually being funny. Unfortunately the thrill of it didn't last long; unlike my car sickness. But I definitely want to go back there, maybe even be sprinkled there. And if I do get the chance...I mean while I'm alive...I have got to remember my camera next time. So many wasted opportunities.

  1. Thanks to Sheldon on 'Young Sheldon' I know that darn word is pronounced something like on-oh-mon-oh-pee-ah. I always said it as oh-no-ma-toe-pee-ah. Danged silly word, lol

I think I would go a little crazy without my computer - or at least the ability to get online. I'm currently obsessed with several fanfics and a lot of music, so, I would miss that stuff if I was unable to get online. Naturally, for me, I don't have much of a social life and it would be a long time before I really missed talking to actual people ... having said that, I'm glad you're back; the Internet is quiet without you :p

Adult parties are never too fun ... the best parts are the food, if there are burgers, hot dogs, potato chips, pop, and maybe something sweet. I haven't been to a party since Dad's birthday almost ten years ago - but if family parties don't count, I haven't been to many parties in my life, lol

    1. You pronounced it better than me; I said oh-no-ma-toe-poe-eye-ah.
It was definitely mundane, not something I want to repeat.
My last party was probably five years ago, when we went to the house that looked just like our old one on Ptarmigan. You would definitely have the kind of food at a party that I would like.

    2. The food is the best part of parties ... I don't drink alcohol and I don't have anything to say, so maybe pizza and a movie is my kind of party, haha :p

    3. Mine, too. Except I've seen all the movies I own so many times, they have kind of lost their appeal. And we only order pizza once a month. Happily I have a fabulous time just drinking a Monster and playing Sims (if it's going well, and right now it is!).

    4. I'm glad to hear it! My game is going well, too! Except, my husband JUST had his wish for a third child fulfilled and now he wants a fourth. He's cute so I might do it, haha ... but wow, I'm going to have to give up the ones I don't like if he keeps wanting more and more :o

I get the same way ... I've seen SO many movies since moving here, there are some I *consider* watching and get whiny, like I'm already bored. But that's a problem because I have to be in a great mood when it's time to watch something brand-new ...

    5. My Sim keeps wanting to adopt a dog, but her household is full.
I can watch something new in any mood, but if I'm bored five minutes in, I usually click away. The last movie I watched front to back, Five Feet Apart, held my attention from the beginning. Well, maybe by the third minute; but I ended up loving it anyway.

    6. I bought it today. And another movie, too, which so far really sucks.

    7. Well, at least you got one good one!

I'm the same way; if something isn't interesting within a certain amount of time (I usually give it about twenty minutes, unless it's gross or stupid) I can't expect the next two hours to be worth sitting there, either. Sometimes I'd just rather be playing Sims or something. :p

    8. I tried to watch a movie several days ago. Turned out to be kind of pornographic, so I gave up. It had one of my favorite actresses, and it kind of ruined her for me.
Yeah, looking forward to watching Five again. :D

    9. Five?

lol, for me it depends who I'm watching with ... but very few things actually disturb me, so even seeing Halle Berry's boobs with our oldest brother didn't faze me :p

    10. Five Feet Apart.
That would have surely messed me up. I was watching it all alone, and it was still the most embarrassing scene I'd ever seen.
And speaking of Halle Berry, have you ever heard of Halle Bailey? They look exactly alike!!

    11. Wow, really? I kind of know how that feels, except that I mostly just get embarrassed when someone is singing, and sometimes when someone talks. Apparently nudity isn't that bad for me, lol ... Was it Swordfish you were just talking about? :o

No, I haven't heard of her, but I'll have to look her up; it's cool when people look alike :)

    12. No, I tried watching Swordfish many years ago and couldn't even get to that part. Just wasn't my cup of tea.
Do you know you have a lot of lookalikes? Lorne guesses five or ten in Mission alone. I cannot begin to guess how many times we thought you were in the store.

    13. Those poor women, lol! :D

It's possible our biological father has many other kids ... maybe they're the sisters you can't be sure you have, haha :p

    14. I know we have one other sister.
