Life

Well, I'm bummed out. Not even for anything major. Just small, superficial reasons that somehow affect me greatly. Do you want to hear this story? No. Do I even want to share it with you? No. But I'm going to, because I still have a few hours to kill. And maybe, one day, my words will be of value.
      (I'm sarcastic.)
It just seems like as soon as I have something I like, it's des-troyed, removed, discontinued, or otherwise made obsolete. I don't quite know what otherwise means in this sense, but as usual I haven't slept and have a long day ahead of me, so I don't particularly care. My bedroom was all nice and complete, but our handy-woman put a huge hole in my wall for reasons I can't remember, after being told several times not to, by me. Every online game I ever loved? Discontinued. In mid-2018, I got a re-loadable Visa card, and I discovered the joy of shopping online. They're discontinuing that. So of course I can't buy the one movie I need to complete my collection, nor can I buy the Friends DVD collection unless I somehow save $120 and buy it in person if they still have it; which really sucks because those two things were the last items on my list.
And now I hear Windows 7 is not going to be provided any more security updates. So I'm stuck with an incomplete collection, a hole in my wall, and a dead computer. When it's all riddled with viruses and it won't turn on and I can't get rid of the viruses because they decided to ruin yet another aspect of my life, I won't be able to write my books, watch videos, talk to you, check my mail, see when my fav-orite movies come out with a sequel, or do any of the things that were the reasons I got out of bed. Fantastic. Overreacting? Maybe. But I literally have nothing else going for me. My new neighbor? It's going so poorly already that I miss the asshole. And of course I can't say more than that, because the few people who do read this will probably use that information against me because like I said in my last post, people suck!

  1. I know how you feel, at least kind of . . . my dA is completely screwed up, and I’ll need the site’s help to get it back . . . I feel lost without it, and maybe that seems silly to some people, but it’s been a big part of my life for eleven or twelve years now, so it’s not insignificant to me.

I don’t understand the Windows 7 issue; maybe you should upgrade to a new OS, or get a good antivirus program . . . ?

Which movie are you looking for?

    1. I was hoping to get Tinkerbell And The Pirate Fairy. I know it's for kids, but it's one of my favorites, aside from the singing pirates. It's got this character, Zarina; and at first she blends in; but then, after she's been missing for two years, she comes back kind of like warrior Fiona, but with wings. And like a million times smaller. I love it.
I tried downloading a virus program. It gave my computer a virus and it wouldn't allow me to delete it the first ten times. And unfortunately, my day only got worse; I lost my newest purchase, a really pretty gold horse key chain. But on the plus side, I finally mailed my camera to you!
I understand feeling lost without a website that's an old favorite. I've been bored sick without my games. Actually, the antivirus program that screwed up my computer came with the game I tried to download.

    2. That really sucks! :(

Aww, I wish I knew what to say ... I just hope things get better for everyone!

Thank you, by the way ... I sure do miss taking pictures! These fancy new cameras take absolutely horrible pictures, in my experience ... of course, I still have no way to edit pictures or anywhere to put 'em at the moment, but hopefully I can get my DA back :p

    3. I hope things get better, too. Since my last comment I've cut myself open twice, not slept again before going out again, almost got cut off in line, retraced all my steps but haven't found my key chain. Lorne got hurt trying to help me and I saw a little girl fall down and smack her head on a big stone bench. It seems like everywhere I go this week, disaster follows.

    4. I seriously doubt it's your fault, though; I've been clumsy these past few weeks, too ... mostly I'm dropping things I'm trying to pick up; its so frustrating :p

I hope you get some sleep and that things improve for you - maybe once you've slept you won't get cut anymore, lol

I got my DA back, by the way - I hope they don't make Eclipse the new official site design, or no matter how attached I am to the site, I'll probably have to leave it by choice.

I really missed getting to look at everyone's art, especially my good old favourites :D

(Plus, I've updated my FFN account and I wanted to change my profile picture, but I couldn't access the majority of my photos ... apparently I tagged a number of them with my username, but not all ... )

    5. BTW, the camera got here today - or yesterday, I'm really not sure ... but anyway, thank you! :D I've already started taking pictures again ...

It was very well-packed, lol, you can tell the person who packed it up has had a lot of practice :p

It was very hard to get into the package, so the 'Ha ha' written on it was very fitting :p

    6. I'm so glad to hear the camera got there safe! Although your post did make us all laugh; I hope you get a kick out of this, too. I am the one who packed the camera, and Mom padded the box and used a bunch of sandwich bags to wrap it. Lorne naturally is responsible for the Ha-ha. Hey, I guess it's from all of us!

    7. :D I honestly couldn't tell who had packed it; just that they'd obviously done it a lot ... I sensed his humour in the 'Ha ha', too! :D

I'm glad you got a laugh out of it ... you'd have probably laughed watching me try to get into the package, too :D

    8. We were laughing as we watched it be wrapped.

    9. That doesn't surprise me; I was cursing duct tape trying to unwrap it :D

    10. LOL! I can totally imagine that. Good thing she's not a store item gift wrapper; it would be worse than Ax. There'd be an endless stream of frustrated customers. "HOW DO I OPEN IT? WHAT DID YOU USE?"
