Snapshots of my current game in The Sims 3: World Adventures. Eleven snapshots of my house, and one picture (so far) of a vacation destination. I just had to commemorate the moment of finding the glowing butterfly.
I also have some videos, including sunset and sunrise videos... Unfortunately the videos are automatically deleted when I compile them in Movie Maker, so they might never see the light of day. How sad.
Neat pictures! Did you make that house?
ReplyDeletelol, I have to admit that when you said it had an inner courtyard, I pictured a house like a square doughnut, with the doughnut hole being the courtyard ... didn't you mention a pool? Is it small and between those lion (?) statues? Sorry, when I zoomed in on the picture, everything went blurry for me :p
Yes, that is the pool...unless Sims can swim in their fountains. And I only edited the house; I used blueprints to create it. I did make the entire up-stairs. As far as the inner courtyard, I am thinking of creating a room in the front. Most likely it would be the kitchen, and the current kitchen would become a gym.
DeleteThis house also has two fountains inside. I like listening to them, but the statues resemble vom-iting dogs, so I don't like looking at them.
lol, there are better statues ... I like the little three-tier rectangular ones; the only issue with them is that they cost about $2000 Simoleons and really make your lost valuable (and, I think, more susceptible to robberies).
DeleteSims can't do much of anything with fountains, unfortunately; I add one to my community pool to look like a shallow kids' swimming pool, but it's technically useless :p
I've never seen that statue before. I did mean the statue part of the fountain. My ideal fountain would be of a dolphin, where the water comes out of the blowhole instead of its mouth.
DeleteAs for lot value, my current lot is over three hundred grand. I cheat my ass off, so robberies don't worry me. Real ones do, but if I can delete the guy it's okay. I've been thinking of adding the same fountain from Central Park, because Sims can at least sit on it. I always hated that in The Sims 2, neighbors would always add soap to them and they would never stop bubbling, so I love that it's not an option in The Sims 3.
I didn't mean statue; I meant fountain ... lol ... I hate the statues that have water coming out of a weird place :p
DeleteI think mine is about $400,000 ... it's the biggest lot you can get in the game :p
I'd forgotten ... I don't even play the old Sims games anymore (or Sims 4) :p
I know what you mean. I'd been looking for Family Fun Stuff for at least a year. Finally bought it, and I installed World Adventures instead. On a whim.
DeleteYeah, my lots are typically the biggest. Although I usually start my games at the Pre-Fabulous and end up moving to Summer Hill Court, across from the fishing pond. That's my Sims' current address.
I did find a small fountain with three levels, but it was square. So I still don't think I know what you mean. Does it come with a particular expansion pack?
It's called the Immoderate Fountain (I think - Google Image Search has a picture of it, third from the left in the top row, although it's green). It just might come with a particular expansion; I'll have to start up the game tonight and check. (I'm sort of missing my Sims anyway.)
DeleteI never use pre-made houses anymore; I've been using one house and one family for years! :D Of course, the house has undergone myriad changes since I first built it; I think it's basically done now, but you never know; I'm always finding new ways to improve it :p
"Immoderate Water Fountain" ... It doesn't make any of those usual distracting fountain sounds, so they're great to have inside a house ... I probably have fifteen of them :p
DeleteWow. Ironic, that you have so many of the Immoderate. :D
DeleteI've been meaning to ask, do you ever buy stuff with Simpoints?
lol, I had to look the word up before I could see the irony! :p
DeleteNo, I don't ... I use whatever comes with the games without downloading or updating anything, ever. No mods, CC, or extra purchases. If I may ask, why?
I was just wondering. I registered all my games and got plenty of points. Bought some hair, clothing, decorations, and an iPhone-like item that allows Sims to build a skill without studying it, so they can do other stuff.

DeleteCool :) I don't think I knew about points ... lol
DeleteThey're more fun than I thought they'd be.
